Long Night of Choirs
One evening, ten venues, the whole old town of Graz singing. The Long Night of Choirs opens the festival: choirs from Styria, from Austria and from abroad take turns in churches, halls and courtyards, all within a few minutes of each other, and the audience wanders from one to the next. Entry is free everywhere, and taking part costs the choirs nothing.
At a glance
How the evening works
- Every choir sings roughly 25 minutes at one of the venues, in a slot we assign together with you.
- Several choirs share one venue one after the other, so each place has a continuous programme all evening.
- The audience moves from venue to venue. All of them are within a few minutes of each other in the old town.
- You choose your own repertoire sacred or secular, a cappella or accompanied. Tell us what you plan to sing and we will place you where it fits.
- Everything is free for the choirs and for the audience. There is no participation fee and no ticket.
